The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) recently held four draws between August 11-19, 2025, inviting 1,052 skilled workers to apply for Canadian permanent residency (PR). This program is specifically for candidates who want to live and work in New Brunswick and have the skills needed by the province.
How the NBPNP Works
To apply, candidates first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) portal. The EOI is a way to show your interest in moving to New Brunswick. INB reviews each application carefully, considering factors like:
- Labour market needs
- Eligibility criteria
- Availability of jobs
- Other important details
After this review, INB issues an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for those who meet the requirements and match the province’s needs.

Notably, no nominations were issued for the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) or Private Career College Graduate Pilot stream this year.
